Destinations
Seattle, Washington – The “Emerald City” is beautifully situated among rivers, lakes and a beautiful mountainous backdrop. We have packaged hotel accommodations for the night prior to sailing.
Ketchikan, Alaska – Discover why Ketchikan is also known as the “Salmon Capital of the World.” The city is built on steep hillsides along the water and features a colorful and bustling port.
Glacier Bay National Park is home to some of the continent’s most spectacular sights. With the serene majesty of snow-flecked and forested mountains defining its shores, Glacier Bay National Park offers some of the most dramatic scenery in the world. Keep your binoculars and camera on hand as you cruise Glacier Bay to the mile-wide Margerie Glacier, where you may have a chance to witness ice calving. Wildlife abounds in Glacier Bay, so stay ready—you never know when you will see the fluke of a humpback rise out of the water or spot a lone brown bear wandering a wind-swept beach.
Juneau – Here in the Capital city you may wish to take a quick tram ride up Mt. Roberts for amazing views or visit monumental Mendenhall Glacier, the largest glacier accessible by road.
Sitka, Alaska – A storied past mixed with jaw-dropping scenery sets Sitka, Alaska apart from other ports. Located on Baranof Island surrounded by the Sitka Sound’s icy blue water, it not only boasts lush scenery and captivating wildlife, Sitka offers a unique glimpse into Alaska history. Russia controlled Alaska from the mid-1700s until the United States purchased it in 1867, and Sitka was settled as the capital of Russian America with the name New Archangel. Sitka is an island community boldly living between the mountains and sea, where the arts flourish and an ancient native culture still thrives. Surrounded by rainforest, this close knit community of Sitka shares its home with brown bears, bald eagles and all five species of Pacific salmon and invites you to come and visit their little piece of heaven in Alaska.
Icy Strait Point, Alaska is a purpose-built and Alaska Tlinglit native-owned cruise port. The nearest town is Hoonah, a flat, walkable 1/5 miles from the cruise port. Unlike other congested Alaskan downtown cruise ports, you will find plenty of authentic Alaskan experiences to fill your day. Plus, plenty of wildlife sightings abound: bears, eagles, and whales can be seen from the cruise port area. Now this is the Alaska wilderness that you have imagined.
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada – This sophisticated seaside city is the sunniest spot in Canada. Here you may wish to take a stroll through the spectacular 35-acre Butchart Gardens or visit the Empress Hotel. You’ll love this port which is filled with old-world charm.
