No visit to Dallas would be complete without visiting legendary Southfork Ranch. Here we’ll tour the Ewing Mansion and re-live exciting moments from the series in the “Dallas Legends” exhibit, featuring an exciting array of memorabilia from the series. See the gun that shot J.R., Lucy’s Wedding Dress, Jock’s Lincoln Continental and the “Dallas” Family Tree. After dinner we will check into our comfortable hotel accommodations known for Texas-Style hospitality. (dinner included)
Wednesday, March 2nd – After breakfast this morning, we’ll begin our visit to the George W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum. Learn about life in the White House – peek behind the closed doors of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to see what life is like inside the White House. Witness the pomp and circumstance that comes with a state dinner, and enjoy a film in the White House Theater about Camp David, the Bush Ranch in Texas, and the President and First Lady’s sense of humor. The Oval Office exhibit is an exact replica, in scale and design, as the one in the White House during the Bush Administration.
Next, it’s off to an old-fashioned cattle drive in Fort Worth, where the Old West will come to life before your eyes. Once home to cowboys, cattlemen and outlaws, today the Stockyards National Historic District is one of the most popular attractions in Texas. Day and night, visitors come to the Stockyards to get a taste of the true American West and you will not be disappointed. (breakfast and dinner included)
Thursday, March 3rd – Fort Worth, Texas is a great place to learn about U.S. currency, and today we’ll visit the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Here we’ll tour the facility where billions of dollars are printed, in fact over half of the nation’s currency order is produced in Fort Worth. After the tour we’ll walk through two floors of interactive exhibits and displays showcasing currency history and the intricate art of currency manufacturing. Also located in the visitor center is the Moneyfactory Gift Shop where the public can purchase souvenir items including uncut currency sheets and other specialty currency products.
Then we are on our way to Waco.
